The KSG has a hardened steel receiver and magazine tubes. The grip and assembly are made of glass-reinforced nylon, with a rubber butt pad.

It is a pump action shotgun that is only 26.1 inches long, with an 18.5" barrel length and weighs 6.9 lbs.
